Our 17cm pot range of vegetables are produced from F1 hybrid seed of selected high performing cultivars. The plants are sold as advanced specimens with flowers and some fruit set to give you the best possible start into early production in the spring.
By selecting superior F1 hybrid seed varieties you get the best possible vigour and disease resistance combined with superior fruit.

Our selections are suitable for both garden and container cultivation. With containers it is important to use a quality container mix that has been adjusted for pH and contains fertiliser. We would recommend either top dressing with a slow release fertiliser such as osmocote or liquid feeding on a regular basis. It is important to be vigilant for pests and diseases and then consult your local plant retailer for advice.

Cocktail Cucumber Iznik F1 Hybrid - Fresh green, shiny finger cucumber with smooth skin; fruit length approx. 10cm. Early maturing and high yielding, up to 5 fruits per leaf axil. Suitable for cultivation from spring until autumn in soil or in pots. Intensive taste of cucumber, crispy, fresh snack vegetable.

Mini Eggplants Ophelia F1 Hybrid - an early mini eggplant with fruit approx. 60g. Compact growth habit with decorative foliage and infructescence. Ideal for cultivation in soil or containers.

Totem Tomato - F1 Totem is amongst the market leaders in the fast growing area of Patio Tomatoes. Totem is a dwarf determinate variety ideal for growing in pots and containers. It needs little support until the fruit starts to swell when the sheer weight of fruit may mean that a stake is needed. The round fruit is crimson in colour when fully ripened, and it lasts well on the plant, making it an ideal subject to pick and use in salads or barbecues. Totem also makes a superb garden tomato. Weekly liquid feeding is recommended.

Pepper Redskin and its golden fruited cousin Mohawk have beed especially bred for growing on the patio or deck. They prefer to be grown at lower temperatures than their hot house cousins. It is essential to use a good quality potting mix for containers and avoid any check to growth through hunger or excessive drying. Liquid feed regularly and avoid water logging at any stage.

It is critical that vegetables in the garden receive a minimum of 6 hours of sunlight per day.
